About The Gallery
LAST summer saw the debut of SOMA, a new art gallery attracting some of the finest new talent to Cape May. Every month, the gallery showcases the work of an outstanding regional artist.
Gallery owner Janet Miller hopes that her new gallery will bring yet another dimension to the revitalization of the arts in Cape May, and the early signs are that she’s already achieved that. “There’s been a renaissance of the arts in Cape May, with two thriving theater companies, music, film and jazz festivals, and the Center for Community Arts. Now we have introduced an NYC-style art gallery to Cape May,” she said.
SOMA provides a quality showplace for the many talented artists with connections to the area. “There is so much talent here, and I hope SOMA will become a focus and even a stimulant for new art, while providing a space where artists can show their work in a prestigious environment right here in Cape May,” said Janet.
SOMA Gallery is located in Carpenters Square Mall which also features two other galleries showcasing Botanical and Historical Art Prints and Photography.
